TRIBESTAN

Tribestan - is men's health. The effect of the drug Tribestan is to increase libido, improve the quality of erections, increase sperm, increase testosterone levels and reduce cholesterol.

Men's health - herbal medicine tribestan.

Currently, hormone replacement therapy prevails in the treatment of sexual weakness and sexual anomalies. At the same time, research in this area is very relevant, the development of a non-hormonal drug, quite active, with a minimum of side effects, could contribute to overcoming sexual dysfunction.

The results of the studies indicate that tribestan is a highly effective, reliable and easy-to-use herbal medicine. Numerous clinical trials of tribestan invariably confirm good tolerability, safety, absence of side effects and contraindications. This allows the ingredient to be used in products for long-term use.

When using the drug Tribestan, there are no adverse reactions - even in patients with chronic diseases of the cardiovascular, nutritional and endocrine systems.

Tribestan is an original non-hormonal drug. The active substance, containing furostanol-type steroid saponins, among which protodioscin predominates, is obtained from the above-ground part of Tribulus terrestris L. (Tribulus terrestris). This perennial plant is widespread throughout the world.

It is known that the furostanol compounds contained in the drug Tribestan (in Tribulus terrestris) contain biologically active substances with the following properties:

1. antibiotic action - like antibiotics of higher plants;
2. antiviral action, mainly affects influenza and herpes viruses;
3. hypocholesterolemic action normalizes cholesterol levels in the blood;
4. anti-inflammatory action - due to similarity with corticosteroids;
5. antitumor action;
6. sexually stimulating action;
7. fungicidal action.

"Tribestan" is a herbal preparation, a dry extract of the herb Tribulus terrestris.
The history of the preparation is associated with large-scale clinical studies of the main active ingredient - protodioscin. Until the mid-20th century, Tribulus terrestris was widely used in folk medicine, but there were no controlled studies that could prove its effectiveness and safety.
"Tribestan" was registered in 1981 and approved for use in clinical practice in Europe (including Russia) and the USA.
According to preclinical and clinical studies, the preparation stimulates spermatogenesis, helps to increase testosterone levels, improve erectile function, and increase libido.
In 2020, the trade name of the preparation was renamed: from Tribestan to "Tribestan".
Erectile Dysfunction (ED) is defined as a persistent inability to achieve and maintain an erection sufficient for successful sexual intercourse. Although ED is a benign disorder, it can negatively affect physical and psychosocial health and impact the quality of life of patients and their partners. There is growing evidence that ED may be an early manifestation of coronary heart disease (CHD) and other systemic vascular diseases. Thus, ED should not be considered only in terms of quality of life. It can be considered a warning signal indicating the presence of cardiovascular disease and a local manifestation of widespread vascular pathology - endothelial dysfunction, atherosclerosis, diabetes mellitus [5-9]. Thus, out of 154 men who sought help due to ED, 44% were diagnosed with arterial hypertension (AH) and 23% with diabetes mellitus [10]. E. Ricci et al. [11] believe that the incidence of hypercholesterolemia in patients with ED is 2 times higher than in those without erectile dysfunction.

Despite the widespread use of Tribulus terrestris in folk medicine, primarily as a remedy for infertility and ED, until the mid-20th century there were no controlled studies that could prove its efficacy and safety.

Large-scale clinical studies of Tribulus terrestris and its main active ingredient, protodioscin, are associated with the appearance on the market of the drug Tribestan, which is a dry extract of the herb Tribulus terrestris containing a sum of furostanol saponins.

Tribestan as a herbal preparation was registered in 1981 and approved for use in clinical practice in Europe (including Russia) and the USA. According to preclinical and clinical studies,

Tribestan stimulates spermatogenesis, helps to increase testosterone levels, improve erectile function, and enhance libido
In addition, Tribestan has a hypolipidemic effect - these are drugs that are used to reduce the content of fats (lipids) in the blood.

Lowering cholesterol. cleansing blood vessels,

Currently, drugs obtained by chemical synthesis are mainly used to treat ED. These are primarily first-line drugs - phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors (PDE5 inhibitors). They are highly effective, but their use may cause a number of adverse events (AEs) specific to both the PDE5 inhibitor group as a whole (hot flashes, headaches) and to individual drugs in particular (for example, myalgia and back pain when using tadalafil)
.
In this regard, the use of herbal non-hormonal drugs that are sufficiently effective and safer is becoming relevant. This group includes herbal medicines Tribestan, made from a dry extract of the herb Tribulus terrestris. It has a general tonic effect and stimulates some functions of the reproductive system. In men, it restores and improves sexual libido, prolongs erection time. Stimulates spermatogenesis, increasing the number of spermatozoa and their motility. The mechanism of action of the Tribulus terrestris extract is still unknown. It is assumed that the predominant substance protodioscin is metabolized in the body to dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), which has a beneficial effect on immunity, cell membrane integrity, erectile function and cholesterol metabolism. It is known that cholesterol is the starting material for the synthesis of all steroids, including DHEA, testosterone and estradiol, which explains the hypolipidemic effect of Tribestan. Other active furostanol saponins, which are part of the extract of Tribulus terrestris, probably modulate the effect of protodioscin. Tribestan has a hypolipidemic effect, and in patients with lipoproteinemia it reduces the content of total cholesterol and LDL, does not affect the values of serum triglycerides and HDL.
